13 ALIGNMENT CONTROL

13.1 MICROSWITCH ADJUSTMENT

An alignment control is mounted on every tower
(between every span).
The alignment control ensures the straight run of the
LINESTAR.
Every angular deviation between the different spans is
transmitted by a shift linkage and a control cam to the
microswitches, which turn the drive motors on and off
and keep the system perfectly aligned. One microswitch
is the operating switch, another one a safety switch,
which shuts the system off in case of a too heavy
doglegging.

an alignment control, it must be set into the proper operating position.
For mounting works imperatively power off the entire machine. Detach
the electrical connections, remove the defective switch and replace it by
a new one. Reattach the electrical connections. Adjust the microswitch
