1) On the 'Map - Weather Radar' Page, press the MENU Key.
2) Turn the FMS Knob to highlight 'Altitude Compensated Tilt On' or 'Altitude Compensated
Tilt Off', then press the ENT Key.
adjusting Gain
Enabling/disabling manual gain adjustment:
1) Select the Gain Softkey to activate the cursor in the Gain field.
2) Turn the small FMS Knob to adjust the gain for the desirable level. The gain setting is
visible in the Gain field as a movable horizontal bar in a flashing box. The line pointer is a
reference depicting the calibrated position.
3) Press the FMS Knob to remove the cursor.
4) Select the Gain Softkey again to return to the calibrated gain setting. 'Calibrated' is
displayed in the Gain field.
Sector Scan
Enabling/disabling Sector Scanning:
1) While in horizontal scan mode, select the BRG Softkey to display the Bearing Line and
place the cursor in the Bearing field. If the Bearing Line is not displayed, press the MENU
Key and turn the large FMS Knob to select Show Bearing Line.
2) Press the ENT Key.
3) Turn the small FMS Knob to place the Bearing Line in the desired position. The location
of the Bearing Line becomes the center point of the Sector Scan.
4) Turn the large FMS Knob to place the cursor in the Sector Scan field.
5) Turn the small FMS Knob to highlight the desired scan. Selecting 'Full' enables a 90 º
scan.
6) If desired, readjust the Bearing Line as discussed previously to change the center of the
Sector Scan.
7) Select the BRG Softkey again to remove the Bearing Line and cursor. The bearing
reference is reset to 0º.
Weather attenuated Color Highlight (WaTCH
Enabling/disabling the WaTCH feature:
1) On the 'Map - Weather Radar' Page, select the Features Softkey.
2) Select the WaTCH Softkey to enable/disable the WATCH feature.
3) Select the Back Softkey to return to the top-level softkeys.
