The 8683XZR module supports R and M mode.

8612XLRS module

The 8612XLRS module is a 12-port XFP baseboard. This module supports
twelve 10 Gbps ports: four for each lane. All RS modules require the
high-speed cooling module. The following figure shows the 8612XLRS.

If you install 10GBASE-ER/EW or 10GBASE-ZR/ZW XFPs, to ensure

Meaning
The port is enabled but not transmitting
data.
The port is transmitting data.
The port is disabled.
The port is linked and enabled.
The port is receiving data.
The cable is disconnected, the port is
disabled, or the link is down.
The module has completed the power-on
self-test and software initialization and is
operating normally.
The module slot is disabled.
The module power is off. If the switch
power is on, the module is performing
the power-on self-test and software
initialization. A module in this state is not
yet functional.
