E. Sample Preparation
Step 3
Mixer: The main mixer can be selected from ON or OFF. These
options are selected with the rotary encoder switch/dial.
NOTE: The mixer should only be on if there is fluid in the
extraction pouch, or the extraction pouch may become
damaged and leak when fluid is added.
Step 4
Solvent: The amount of solvent used is selected from between
0 mL and 500 mL.
NOTE 1: If too little solvent is used for the extraction pouch size
then an error screen is shown when Run is selected.
The 100 mL extraction pouch requires a minimum of 25 mL of
solvent to ensure good mixing, the minimum amount required
for the 500 mL Extraction Pouch is 100 mL.
NOTE 2: If too much solvent is used for the 100 mL extraction
pouch then an error screen is shown when Run is selected.
