Step 6 – The cassette is then loaded onto the XTRX500, when
located correctly the barcode reader will illuminate and read the
barcode on the extraction pouch.
NOTE: Do not force the cassette into place, excessive force can
damage the instrument and/or extraction pouch and is not
necessary if the cassette is aligned correctly with the XTRX500.
NOTE: If the barcode reader does not scan the extraction pouch
barcode correctly this can be due to the sample causing the
barcode to be misaligned. In this situation the sample should be
moved slightly in the top of the extraction pouch until the
barcode is scanned correctly.
The XTRX500 can now be used for the dissolution process.
