adjust the Carousel sensor (if necessary)
Adjust the Carousel Sensor if the slots of the carousel are not centered with the slot on the chassis.
1. Remove the right-bottom side panel of the unit and set aside.
NOTE: The carousel Drive Assembly is mounted to the underneath side of the chassis.
2. Locate the single beam Optical Sensor that is mounted on the "L" bracket. It is located just to the right of the
carousels slotted encoder wheel.
3. Determine which way the sensor needs to be adjusted. Visually make sure the carousel slots look centered.
4. Loosen, but do not remove, the two nuts that mount the "L" bracket to the assembly.
5. Adjust the sensor as necessary. This is for fine adjustments.
6. Tighten one screw after adjusting the sensor.
7. Rotate the carousel to home and then another position.
8. Visually verify the slots of the chassis and the carousel are properly positioned.
9. If more adjustment is needed, loosen the tightened screw and readjust the bracket. Repeat this step until
everything looks centered and moves freely.
10. Tighten both nuts.
11. Replace the side panel of the unit and secure.
12. Move the carousel and the Sample/Elevator Mixer Assembly to the home position.
13. Replace the vials.
