Never connect a flammable gas
(such as hydrogen) as the gas
supply to the Versa. Venting of
this gas in standby creates an
explosion hazard.

pressurize Gas

Using the 1/8" blue Teflon® line at the rear of the Versa,
labeled "pressurize gas", connect to a gas supply source and
secure tightly to prevent any leaks. An 1/8" brass tee has been
supplied in the Versa kit box to allow the unit to be connected to an existing helium or nitrogen line.
note: The incoming pressure should be between 45 psi & 140 psi and the gas should be 99.999% pure Helium or
Nitrogen certified at less than 0.5ppm of Total Hydrocarbons.

transfer line connections

1. Cool the GC injection port prior to starting work to avoid injury.
2. Refer to the GC user's manual for transfer line instructions to insure proper cutting of the carrier gas line versus the
septum purge or split vent.
3. A 1/16" union has been supplied in the Versa kit box and on the GC end of the Versa transfer line. Use these unions
and nuts and ferrules to make the following connections:
• Place a nut and ferule on the end of the newly cut inlet line and connect to the inside line of the heated transfer
line. Tighten to prevent leaks.
• Using the newly cut gas supply line on the GC system, place another nut and ferrule and connect to the outside line
of the heated transfer line and tighten.
