3. ONLINE MODE

3.12 BASIC Setting

The Basic function enables the printer to operate with the program created for other printers, by converting
it to Basic program and downloading this Basic program to the printer.
This BASIC setting used to following setting.

Basic Expansion Mode
The printer is turned on, standing by, or printing.
Press the [PAUSE] key.
"PAUSE" is displayed.
Press and hold the [PAUSE] key for at least 3 seconds.
The reset menu is displayed.
When "<1>PARAMETER SET" appears, press the [PAUSE] or [FEED] keys until the
following display appears.

The printer returns to the same state as when the power is turned off and on again.
BASIC OFF
Name of data stored in the BASIC file
storage area (00 to 13 + name)
TRACE OFF
Executed when the BASIC expansion
mode program is loaded. (Refer to
section 3.9)
