CAUTION
Do not drive the tractor close to
the edges of ditches or banks
which may break under the
weight of the tractor; especially
when the ground is loose or wet.
Slow down to a safe speed be-
fore turning.
Turn off and secure any imple-
ments or attachments before
driving on the road.
Always release the differential
lock as soon as it is no longer
needed.
Always attach the SMV emblem
for road travel.
Do not rest your foot on the clutch
while driving. Doing so causes
premature clutch wear.
Always
depress
the
quickly and release it slowly.
Avoid sudden speed changes for
safety.
Look in all directions before mov-
ing the tractor. Carelessness
causes accidents and injuries.
CAUTION
Always select a low speed set-
ting before driving in potentially
hazardous conditions, such as:
- Steep slopes
- Loading and unloading
- Entering or exiting a field
- Uneven terrain
Changing gears after entering a
situation where there is poten-
tial instability can be dangerous.
IMPORTANT
Do not move the tractor with the
parking brake on.
To avoid premature wear, do not
use the clutch pedal as a foot
rest.
Hi-Lo shift levers cannot be
clutch
shifted
while
moving. The main gear shift le-
ver can be shifted by depressing
the clutch and selecting speed.
When descending a steep slope,
engage a low gear and descend
with the clutch fully engaged.
Always be sure to interlock the
brake pedals when operating the
tractor on roads.

STOPPING THE TRACTOR

1. Slow the engine speed to the idle
speed.
2. Fully depress the clutch and brake
pedals.
3. After coming to a complete stop, put
the shift lever in the neutral position.

4. Turn off the PTO clutch switch and
put the PTO shift lever in the neutral
position.
5. Slowly pull the position lever forward
to lower the attachment.
6. Set the parking brake.
7. Turn the start switch to the "OFF" po-
sition to stop the engine.
