OPERATING A NEW TRACTOR

The life of a tractor is determined by how
well it is maintained and by how properly
it is used. The life of a new tractor is
affected significantly by how the tractor
is used and cared for during the "break-
in" period. For best performance and
longest life, the following precautions
should be followed for the first 50 hours
of operation.
Do not operate the engine at full speed
!
during the first 50 hours.
Avoid sudden starts and stops.
!
!
Allow the tractor to warm up to nor-
mal operating temperature before
starting work.
Do not run the engine any faster than
!
necessary.
Use extra caution and care on rough
!
roads or uneven terrain.
Note that these "break-in" period precau-
tions are good practices for all tractors
regardless of age.
