CHANGING LUBRICATING OIL FOR
NEW TRACTORS
Lubricating oils can be contaminated with
solid particles as new moving parts are
broken in. To prevent damage or failure,
the first engine oil and transmission oil
changes should be performed sooner
than the normal service interval. For
details, see Section 6 – Maintenance.

WARNING
Carefully read and understand
the instructions in this entire
manual; especially the "Safe Op-
eration" chapter; as well as all
decals and nameplates attached
to the tractor.
Avoid starting the engine in an
enclosed space. It may cause
death. Always run the engine in a
well ventilated area.
Before starting the engine; apply
the parking brake, shift the main
shift lever to neutral and turn the
PTO switch to OFF.
To avoid serious injury, do not
start the engine unless properly
seated at the operator's station.

(1) Parking Brake Lever

1. Applying the parking brake.

Pull the parking brake lever while fully
depressing the brake pedals. (The left
and right pedals should already be
latched together for this procedure).
The "P" lamp in the instrument panel
will turn on when the key switch is
turned on; indicating that the parking
brake is ON.
