Trusted Platform Module (TPM) Installation

Required Tools and Supplies:
Anti-static wrist strap and conductive workbench pad (recommended)
Flat head screwdriver or Phillips* (cross head) screwdriver (#2 bit)
1. Power off the system and disconnect the AC power cord.
2. Remove the system top cover (see Section 2.2.1).
3. Locate the TPM module connector on the server board next to the DIMM slots.
4. Remove the TPM module, and the included standoff and screws from their packaging.
5. Install the standoff to the server board mounting hole (see letter A).
6. Place the TPM module over the connector and match the orientation.
7. Press the TPM module down onto the connector (see letter B).
8. Secure the TPM module to the stand-off with one of the provided screws (see letter C).
Note: TPM module comes with two screws in kit, one Phillips head version and one tamper proof version.
