1. Turn on the network analyzer and the optical test set.
2. Allow the optical test set and the network analyzer to
warm up (please refer to
page 141
3. If it is not already started, start the network analyzer
application.
Consult the documentation supplied with the network
analyzer if you need help with this step.
NO T E
Most performance problems are caused by damaged or dirty
electrical or optical connectors.
Before starting the performance verification procedure make
sure all electrical and optical connectors are in excellent
condition.
For more information on cleaning procedures see

and to the user guide of the network analyzer for
information on cleaning electrical connections.
1. On the network analyzer make the following settings:
• Start Frequency: 10 MHz, Stop Frequency: 26.5 GHz
• Number of points: 2650
• IF bandwidth: 300 Hz
• Select "Reduce IF BW at Low Frequencies".
• Averages: 1
• RF output power:
2 Select "Stepped sweep - sweep moves in discrete steps".
