10.1 Warnings and cautions

Warning: Failure to follow the guidelines in this section can cause serious issues
or additional system downtime.
Important: Western Digital Corporation recommends completing this procedure
under the guidance of Western Digital Corporation customer support.
When re-racking a system:
• Install and cable components one at a time. Use the cable labels to ensure that the cabling is correct.
Important: When cabling, system components are NOT interchangeable. For
example, do not cable the sixth Storage Node to the fourth Storage Enclosure
basic.
• Install components in the order and location directed.
• Before powering the system back on, ensure that all components are:
– Cabled correctly
– Installed in the correct U-locations

10.2 Rack Requirements

Ensure that you new rack or racks can meet the following requirements:
