c. With the mounting pegs inserted in the rear of the rack, mount the close end of the outer rail to the
front of the rack by aligning the mounting pegs with the rack's mounting holes and slide them in
until the latch closes.

3.7.3 Replacing the System Interconnect 1U mounting kit (racked systems)

Warning: Some components are heavy.
Caution: Disconnect all power sources before servicing.

3.7.3.1 Removing a System Interconnect 1U mounting kit

To remove a System Interconnect 1U mounting kit:
1. From the front of the rack, remove the 1U screen panel to gain access to the front of the System
Interconnect.
2. Remove both power cords and all networking cables form the rear of the System Interconnect.
3. Locate and unscrew the screws on the front of the system that secure the System Interconnect to the
rack mount rail.
4. Gripping the System Interconnect firmly with both hands, pull forward on the System Interconnect
with even pressure until it releases from the rails on the rack.
5. From the rear of the rack, remove the screws that attach the rack mount rails to the rack.
6. From the front of the rack, remove the screws that attach the rack mount rails to the rack.

3.7.3.2 Installing a System Interconnect 1U mounting kit

To install a replacement 1U System Interconnect 1U mounting kit:
