Elimination of radial and side play in the moving column

12 There are three sets of two adjustable rollers, mounted one above the other in housings set around the
elevation tube, which engage with tracks on the top stage. Grub screws can be used to adjust the bearing
shafts inside the roller housing. To eliminate radial or side play in the moving column, proceed as follows
4.2):
12.1 Remove the load from the pedestal.
12.2 Depressurize the pneumatic system.
12.3 Partly extend the elevation tube
12.4 Remove three roller covers
12.5 Remove and degrease two grub screws
Loctite 222E and replace. Tighten lightly.
12.6 Adjust the grub screws in each roller housing equally until radial and side play has been
eliminated but the top stage still moves freely.
12.7 Move the top stage
occurs when the top stage is fully depressed. If binding occurs, re-adjust the grub screws untill it is
eliminated.
12.8 Refit the roller covers (4).
(2) and engage the bottom clamp (3).
