Adjustments

6 Adjustments that may become necessary after considerable use are as follows:
6.1 Drag control knob adjustment.
6.2 Taking up wear in the bottom clamp.
6.3 Taking up wear in the top clamp and skid clamp.
6.4 Elimination of radial and side play on the top stage.
6.5 Skid tracking adjustment.
Drag control knob adjustment
7 When turned fully clockwise, the 'V' notch on the drag control knob should be within the limits shown. To
adjust the drag control knob
7.1 Turn the drag control knob
7.2 Remove the hole plug (18.3). Remove the screw
spindle .
7.3 Remove the knob, then replace on spindle
limits shown.
7.4 Degrease screw, coat with Loctite 222E and secure knob with washer and screw. Replace hole
plug.
