Foot supports and castors

9 To remove the foot supports
9.1 Separate the telescopic column from the skid
9.2 At each foot support, remove two screws (13) securing foot support (25) to leg tube.
9.3 If required, pull rubber strap (26) off foot support.
10 To remove the castor assembly
10.1 Use tool 3319-900SP, or a suitable peg spanner through the hole in the top of the leg tube to
remove nut (24). Note that nut is secured with Loctite 243.
10.2 Remove castor assembly (18) and wheel lock housing (15) from leg tube. Note position and
orientation of wheel lock housings.
11 To dismantle a castor
11.1 Unscrew knob (7) and remove screw (17) and two washers (6).
11.2 Slide off cable guard (16). Replace screw (17), two washers (6) and knob (7) to retain wheel in
castor.
12 To dismantle a wheel lock housing
NOTE: Note position of wheel lock housing and colour of knob for assembly. Track locking pins
(19) are held under spring compression and must be removed with care.
12.1 Apply pressure to the point of the track locking pin (19) to lift Spirol pin (21) clear of wheel lock
housing (15). Drift out Spirol pin (9).
12.2 Grip lower part of locking pin (19) to prevent rotation and unscrew knob (22).
12.3 Withdraw track locking pin from the wheel lock housing complete with spring (20).
12.4 If required, remove dowel pin (14).

Centre casting and leg assemblies

13 To dismantle the centre casting and leg assemblies
13.1 Separate the telescopic column from the skid
13.2 Turn the skid upside down and unfold the legs.
NOTE: The skid leg locking plungers (9) are held under slight spring compression by the skid
centre castings. Take care not to lose items during dismantling.
13.3 Remove screw (8) and five screws (5) and separate upper (2) and lower (4) centre castings.
