Setting the MDI/MDI-X Switch

ETTING THE
The MDI/MDI-X switch located on the modem
rear panel allows you to connect a network
device (such as a PC, hub, switch, or router) to
the modem 10Base-T port.
Set the MDI/MDI-X switch for the 10Base-T
port to:
•
MDI-X when connecting to a network
device such as a PC with an Ethernet NIC
card with a MDI port.
•
MDI when connecting to a device such as a
hub, switch, or router with a MDI-X port.
