7.1 General notes

Before you commission the central communication unit for a new project, reset it to its
default state, i.e. ex-works state. If you have previously commissioned the central
communication unit, reestablish the ex-works state as follows:
• Simultaneously press "long" (>4 seconds) the 3 buttons "Modem", "Ack" and
"Config". When pressing, LED "Run" extinguishes and the central unit restarts.
After the restart, LED "Run" is lit again.
Restoring the ex-works state resets all configuration data and settings. The device list
and all undelivered messages are deleted. History data is not deleted.
The central communication unit is reset to device address 150 (if address
changed). The CF card is no longer integrated.
The central communication unit knows 3 types of fault sources:
• Own, internal faults of the central communication unit.
• Faults transmitted to the fault inputs.
• Faults from Konnex network devices sent to the central communication unit via bus.
Names of data points and message text, e.g. of faults, cannot contain special
characters or umlauts. Valid characters:
• a...z and A...Z
• 0...9
• ! „ $ % & ‚ ( ) * + ` - . / : ; < = > ? "space"
Invalid characters are converted to question marks "?" when sent.
You can structure entry of numbers at data points "Phone number provider" and
"Phone number receiver" e.g. with a space " " or " / ".
