Connecting to a Console
The PrAMC-7311 lets you monitor system conditions through the serial port connector on
the face plate. This is a standard low profile RJ-45 connector.
Configure your console or terminal emulation software using the parameters shown in the
next table. The default BIOS serial port settings are described below. Flow control may be
enabled if required. The PrAMC-7311 serial port supports a full-modem configuration.

Various terminal settings will affect how the F2 key is interpreted.

BIOS does not support the translation if TeraTerm emulation is used. For putty emulation,
you should set the putty session as SCO if the BIOS setting is ANSI. If the putty session is
used as VT100+, then the BIOS setting should be VT100. TeraTerm does not work with the
F2 key.
Product Damage or Loss of Regulatory Compliance
The serial port is meant for development/debug/craft purpose only.
The serial cable is not meant to be connected during normal field operation. The
PrAMC-7311 has not been qualified for regulatory compliance with the serial cable
connected.
