5.1 Preparing for socket fabrication
Required materials: Plate dummy, ratchet unit dummy, shuttle lock

housing, silicone grease, Plastaband 636K8*
1) NOTICE! Align the shuttle lock with the longitudinal axis of the
residual limb to prevent unnecessary load and wear (see fig. 4).
Position the plate dummy on the distal surface of the plaster model along
the longitudinal axis of the residual limb and secure it with 4 nails (see
fig. 5).
2) Grease the thread of the ratchet unit dummy and screw the dummy into
the shuttle lock housing.
3) Fill the slot in the head of the ratchet unit dummy with Plastaband.
5.2 Fabricating the prosthetic socket
Use without lamination disc
Required materials: Sleeve dummy, cap screw from 6A94 dummy set

1) Insert the sleeve dummy into the shuttle lock housing.
2) Secure the shuttle lock housing and sleeve dummy to the plate dummy
with the cap screw.
3) Fabricate the prosthetic socket as described in the instructions for use
of the socket attachment block or the lamination anchor.
4) Perform final assembly (see Page 17).
INFORMATION
The layup described in this document was approved for the maximum
product user body weight. The prosthetist assumes full responsibility for
any change to the layup.
Use with lamination disc
Required materials: 5R2 lamination disc, 636K8* Plastaband,

501S74=3.5x9.5 fillister head self-tapping screws, countersunk head
screw from 5X108 dummy set, silicone grease, 99B81 PVA bag, 623T9
Nylglass stockinette, 616G4 fibreglass mat, 616G12 carbon fibre cloth,
616G14* woven carbon fibreglass stockinette, 616G3 fibreglass woven
hose, 617H119 Orthocryl lamination resin 80:20 PRO
1) Fill the 4 screw holes on the underside of the lamination disc with
Plastaband (see fig. 6).
2) Position the lamination disc on the shuttle lock so that the marking hole
is aligned with the ratchet unit (see fig. 7).
3) Secure the lamination disc on the shuttle lock housing with 6 fillister
head self-tapping screws (see fig. 8).
