P THE
Set up your PC to be on the same IP subnet as the modem. Since the modem default uses DHCP,
it will automatically configure your IP settings once you set up that option. If you want to view
or change the default IP address for the modem, see
page
80.
The following is an example of how to set up a PC running Microsoft Windows 98.

Open the
Control Panel

From the Configuration tab, double-click

If DHCP has been enabled on the modem (default), select
address automatically

Enter
IP Address
address from the following range: 192.168.0.2 to 192.168.0.254. The default subnet mask
is 255.255.255.0.

Click
OK
to close the TCP/IP Properties window.

to close the Network window.

to restart the computer.
