PLATE Extraction

[1] The DUPLEX CAM indexes toward Position #3. As it rotates, both the SLED CAM and the HOOK CAM execute specific actions. The first few degrees of the CAM
rotation pushes the HOOKS up. The rest of the rotation, unlatches the CASSETTE and hooks the PLATE to the EXTRACTION BAR.
SLED CAM actions on way to DUPLEX CAM position #3
a. SLED PLATE moves an additional.350 in. forward.
b. CLAMP ROLLERS on the CASSETTE ROLLER AYs (FRONT or
MIDDLE depending on size of the CASSETTE), clamp the metal edge
of the CASSETTE. The CASSETTE is now firmly held at both the front
and back edges.
c. The LIGHT SHUTTER moves into the closed position, creating a light-
tight environment for removing the PLATE from the CASSETTE.
[2] The LIGHT SHUTTER OPEN SENSOR, S4, confirms that the LIGHT SHUTTER is in the Light Lock position.
[3] The MSC informs that the MCPU that the CASSETTE has been loaded successfully.

HOOK CAM actions on way to DUPLEX CAM position #3
a. HOOK CAM pushes against the HOOK YOKE FOLLOWER,
which is spring loaded.
b. The HOOK YOKE FOLLOWER pushes down on the HOOK
YOKE AY, forcing the HOOK YOKE WHEELS to push down on
the HOOK YOKE LEVERS of the EXTRACTION BAR. This
action raises the HOOKS into the CASSETTE LATCH AY.
c. With the HOOK LEVERS fully down, and the HOOKS in position
inside the CASSETTE, the forward movement of the SLED forces
the spring-loaded LATCH inside the CASSETTE to unlatch, at
the same time hooking the PLATE to the EXTRACTION BAR.
