CASSETTE Unloading

Status: CASSETTE LOADED
• CAM has reached position #2.
• SLED is.250 in. forward of Home position.
• DRIVE ROLLERS are pinched:
– FRONT ROLLERS if CASSETTE is 35cm x 35cm or 34cm x 43cm
– MIDDLE ROLLERS if CASSETTE is 18cm x 24cm or 24cm x 30cm
• CASSETTE is at CASSETTE REAR STOP and clamped between REAR
CLAMP ROLLERS.
• CASSETTE DRIVE MOTORS, M2 and M3 are stopped.
• CASSETTE is still latched with the PLATE inside.
• HOOKS on the EXTRACTION BAR are retracted.
[10] The SLED CAM indexes to position 2.
(a) The SLED PLATE moves.250 in. forward.
(b) If the CASSETTE is:
35cm x 35cm
The LEFT FRONT ROLLER AY moves to the
35cm x 43cm
right to Pinch position, which pinches the
CASSETTE against the RIGHT FRONT
ROLLER AY.
18cm x 24cm
The L2, MIDDLE ROLLER SOLENOID actuates
24cm x 30cm
moving the LEFT MIDDLE ROLLER AY to the
right to Pinch the CASSETTE against the
RIGHT MIDDLE ROLLER AY.
[11] The LEFT and RIGHT CASSETTE DRIVE MOTORS, M2 and M3, start,
driving the TIMING BELTS which turn the DRIVE ROLLERS.
[12] The DRIVE ROLLERS drive the CASSETTE to the rear until it is detected
by the CASSETTE REAR SENSOR, S3.
[13] Sensor S3, signals the MSC to shut off the DRIVE MOTORS.
[14] The DRIVE MOTORS shut off. At this time the CASSETTE is wedged
securely between LEFT and RIGHT REAR ROLLER AYs.
