CASSETTE HANDLING / PLATE Handling

CASSETTE Handling involves two operations - loading the CASSETTE into the CR 800 and unloading the CASSETTE from the CR 800
CASSETTE Loading
[1] Prior to loading a CASSETTE into the CR 800:
• The patient (P) and exam (E) data is entered into the system, either at the REMOTE OPERATIONS PANEL or at the TOUCH SCREEN on the CR 800.
• The Operator scans the CASSETTE BARCODE and the CASSETTE information is added to the

• The DUPLEX CAM is at Home position.
– LEFT ROLLER ASSEMBLIES (FRONT and MIDDLE) are retracted.
– STOP PIN is in the closed position
– LIGHT SHUTTER is unblocked
• All MOTORS are stopped.
• EXTRACTION BAR is at Home position
• NOSEPIECE is in the Clear position

[3] The Operator pushes the CASSETTE into the LOADING STATION until the
CASSETTE reaches the STOP PIN.
[4] The CASSETTE ENTRY SENSOR, S1 and the CASSETTE LOAD
SENSOR, S2 detect the presence of the CASSETTE in the LOAD STATION
and that it is aligned correctly
Note
The S1 and S2 are continually monitored by the MSC BD. A CASSETTE is
considered present if at least one of the SENSORS is blocked for more that 5
seconds or if both S1 and S2 are blocked. The sequence continues only when
both are blocked, otherwise and error message is reported.
