Preparations
Filling the cooling system
Connect the pressure hose of an electric pump
or of a hand pump with the intake (Fig. 1, item 1).
Open the stop cock (Fig. 1, item 2) and fill in the
coolant slowly up to approx. 1 bar.
Check the filling pressure at the manometer (Fig.
1, item 3). The pressure in the cold state has to
be in the range of 1.1-1.3 bar.
Venting the cooling system
Remove the top sound-insulation cover at rear
(Fig. 2, item 1).
Vent the cooling system at the gas separator
bypass (Fig. 2, item 2).
Vent the cooling system at the cooling water
distributor (Fig. 2, item 3).
Close the stop cock at the cooling water distribu-
tor (Fig. 2, item 3) and remove the pressure
hose.
Close the stop cock at the exhaust gas heat
exchanger (Fig. 2, item 4) and remove the pres-
sure hose.
WARNING
When venting the cooling system
please make absolutely sure that no
flammable coolant is spilled on hot sur-
faces – danger of ignition.
