Note:
Use of the 710D1 Torque wrench is stronlgy recommended.
Torque of 506G1=M6x8 Clamping screw: 6 Nm/4.4 ft.lbs./53 lbs.in. (fig. 3)
Torque of 501Z2=M5 Cap screws : 9 Nm/6.6 ft.lbs./80 lbs.in. (fig. 4)
Secure the screws by means of 636K13 Loctite!
Attention
To eliminate noise in the cosmetic foam cover, use 519L5 Silicone Spray. Do not use talcum
powder! Talcum powder reduces the lubrication of the mechanical parts, which may lead to a
malfunction and thus increase the risk of falling. Using this medical product after application
of talcum powder will render all claims against Otto Bock HealthCare GmbH null and void.
Apply 519L5 Silicone Spray directly on the friction surfaces of the cosmetic foam cover!

6 Maintenance

Due to the extreme stresses that children place on the components, regular inspections and
servicing by the prosthetist are necessary at predetermined intervals. We recommend that the
components be inspected every 3 months. Function should be tested and the tube adapters
examined for any evidence of deformities or damage.

7 Legal information

7.1 Liability
The manufacturer will only assume liability if the product is used in accordance with the descrip-
tions and instructions provided in this document. The manufacturer will not assume liability for
damage caused by disregard of this document, particularly due to improper use or unauthorised
modification of the product.
7.2 CE conformity
This product meets the requirements of the European Directive 93 / 42 / EEC for medical devices.
This product has been classified as a class I device according to the classification criteria out-
lined in Annex IX of the directive. The declaration of conformity was therefore created by the
manufacturer with sole responsibility according to Annex VII of the directive.
