For 6-cylinder compressors: Screw the ends of the
fork-shaped connecting line onto one RI injection
nozzle each. Tighten the screws at the ends of the
connecting line, holding them against the RI injection
nozzle. Orient the pipe inlet parallel to the discharge
gas line.
• Fix the connecting line close to the valve with a
clamp to avoid vibrations. To do this, screw on a
fastening plate for the clamp under the next cylinder
head screw. Tightening torque: 80 Nm
• For 6-cylinder compressors: Attach a second mount-
ing plate to the side cylinder head directly below the
second bend of the longer part of the connecting
line. Fasten the connecting cable here also with a
clamp.

7 Electrical connection

Leave the compressor module under voltage when the
motor is at a standstill. The module switches the oil
heater on if necessary. This ensures the lubricity of the
oil even after prolonged standstill.
Only disconnect the compressor module from the
power supply if a long compressor standstill is planned
or for maintenance purposes.

7.1 Representation of components and cables

Components
• Standard scope of supply
These components are filled in grey in the schematic
diagrams, slightly darker than the optional compon-
ents.
• Optionally available components are filled in light
grey.
• Components not included in the BITZER portfolio are
filled in white.
• Compressor options that are not connected via the
module are dashed.
Motor connection in the terminal box
The terminal plates of the compressors vary depending
on the motor power. Therefore, the motor connection is
only shown schematically and surrounded by a dashed
line. There is a sticker on the inside of the terminal box
cover that describes the motor connection in detail.

7.2 Schematic wiring diagram for direct on-line
start
An example for direct on-line start is a fully equipped
ECOLINE+. This is a compressor for transcritical CO
applications with a line start permanent magnet motor
(LSPM motor) in star wiring see figure 6, page 17.
7.3 Schematic wiring diagram for part winding
start
Schematic wiring diagram of a fully equipped 6-cylinder
compressor in variant A with 3 CRII capacity regulators
see figure 7, page 18.

7.4 Schematic wiring diagram for star-delta start

With star-delta starting, the motor contactors are not
connected to the CM-RC-01 according to the marking
on the terminals. The schematic wiring diagram shows
the electrical connection of a fully equipped 6-cylinder
compressor in variant B with start unloading and 2 CRII
capacity regulators, see figure 8, page 19.
7.5 Principle circuit diagram for operation with
frequency inverter (FI)
In FI operation, all contactors including main contactor
and overload protection device can be dispensed with if
the FI is equipped with the STO function, see figure 9,
page 20.
Program the frequency inverter so that the compressor
is operated between 1500 and 4000 rpm. During com-
missioning, carefully check the system in the entire fre-
quency range for abnormal vibrations and suppress
critical frequencies.
