Region of Interest (ROI)

The ROI feature is related to flat field calibration. It is important to specify an ROI w hen the object being
im aged has areas that have black, non illu minated areas such as beyond the ed ge of a film that is front
illu minated , or is saturated , again beyond the ed ge of a film but in this case bright field back illum inated .
The ROI feature allow s from one to four specific regions of the p ixel line to be specified w here flat field
calibration w ill take place. Pixel d ata ou tsid e the ROI w ill not be u sed w hen performing flat field
calibration.

Image Format Control Category

The P4 Im age Form at controls, as show n by CamExpert, groups p arameters u sed to configure camera
pixel form at, im age cropping, and th e test p attern.
Parameters in gray are read only, either alw ays or d ue to another parameter being d isabled . Parameters
in black are u ser set in Cam Expert or program mable via an im aging application.
Features listed in the d escription table but tagged as Invisible are usually for Teled yne DALSA or third
party softw are usage—not typically need ed by end user applications.
