Precautions

Read these precautions and this manu al carefully before using the camera.
Confirm that the camera's packaging is und am aged before opening it. If the p ackaging is d a maged please
contact the relevant logistics personnel.
Do not open the hou sing of the camera. The w arranty is void ed if the housing is opened .
Keep the camera housing temperature in a range of 0 °C to 65 °C d uring operation.
Do not operate the camera in the vicinity of strong electrom agnetic field s. In ad d ition, avoid electrostatic
charging, violent vibration, and excess moisture.
To clean the d evice, avoid electrostatic charging by using a d ry, clean absorbent cotton cloth d ampened
w ith a small quantity of pu re alcohol. Do not use methylated alcohol. To clean the surface of the camera
hou sing, use a soft, d ry cloth. To rem ove severe stains use a soft cloth d ampened w ith a small quantity of
neutral d etergent and then w ipe d ry. Do not use volatile solven ts such as benzene and thinners, as they
can d am age the surface finish. Further cleaning instructions are below .
Thou gh this camera supp orts hot plugging, it is recom mend ed that you p ow er d ow n and d isconnect
pow er to the camera before you ad d or replace system comp onents.

Electrostatic Discharge and the CMOS Sensor

Image sensors and the cam era bod ies hou sing are susceptible to d am age from electrostatic d ischarge
(ESD). Electrostatic charge introd uced to the sensor w ind ow surface can ind uce charge build up o n the
und ersid e of the w ind ow that cannot be read ily d issip ated by the d ry nitrogen gas in the sensor package
cavity. The charge norm ally d issip ates w ithin 24 hours and the sensor returns to normal operation.
