Installing an M.2 SATA SSD

Prerequisites
Before you perform this procedure, make sure that you have a Phillips No. 2 screwdriver available.
Procedure
1. Power down the server on page 14.
2. Disconnect all peripheral cables from the server.
3. Remove the server from the chassis.
4. Install the SSD:
a. Insert the SSD into the M.2 slot at a 45° angle.
b. Carefully press the SSD down to the horizontal position.
c. Install the SSD mounting screw.
5. Install the server into the chassis.
6. Connect all peripheral cables to the server.
7. Power up the server on page 14.
8. To configure the M.2 SATA SSDs, see the OS software RAID documentation.
The installation is complete.
