A number of different buttons can be used for closing the currently open
window.

(1) - Grayed-out: Deactivated element
The currently activated or selected element is highlighted with a dark
background (2).
Buttons that are not used in the current context are grayed-out (1).

Meaning
At the upper right in the title bar of all windows:
The program jumps back by one navigation level.
OK
In windows with data entry or selection fields:
CR
The window is closed, and the entered
or selected data is adopted.
DEL
In windows with data entry or selection fields:
Cancel
The window is closed, and the entered
Cancel
or selected data is discarded.
