Quick installation procedure

Connect the Kona / Kona apparel to your computer via USB and install the Kona / Kona

apparel drivers as described on the installation CD of the cutter.
Connect the network sharing box via USB to the Kona / Kona apparel and via a network

cable to your LAN. Be sure to also install the power adapter.
Download and install the USBserver software.

Open the USBserver and make the proper settings (IP address and Gateway)

Make a connection with the Kona / Kona apparel and start cutting via network.


When you want to connect more USB devices to a single box, it is necessary to install a USB
HUB in-between as shown on the picture above.

Software and driver installation

Software installation

1) Mutoh CutServer
If not installed already, install the latest CutServer on your computer as described on the
installation CD of the Kona / Kona apparel. Using the CutServer is not mandatory to work with
the USBServer.
2) USBserver
Install the software on your computer that allows access to the box, and thus to your

devices. Do not use the software provided on the USB to ethernet box CD! This
version currently causes possible system crashes after installing the driver AND
connecting USB devices containing ftdi chipsets. Instead, use this version:

Unzip the package to an appropriate location. After installation, check its version in
Step 2:
Help>About. It should show USBserver v 2.0.5.2. At the time of writing this document,
the USBserver version provided on CD is v2.0.6.2.
