Maintenance and service
6.3 Maintenance request and fault message
You can block the logbook or even delete the messages in it with function 60. This might be
especially helpful during test operation.
All messages can be shut off individually with function 87. In normal operation, we
recommend that this option not be used.
Maintenance request
If there are indications of changes in internal device parameters, "Maintenance request"
appears in the status line. Such changes do not affect the measuring quality at the time they
occur. In order to be able to guarantee the measuring capability long-term, you must howver
take any remedial measures.
If you have configured the relay output of the device accordingly (function 71), there is also
an external signal.
Fault
Defects in the hardware or changes in the device parameters, which would result in the
device being unable to make reliable measurements, lead to a fault message. "Fault" then
appears in the status line of the measured value display. The measured value blinks. Take
remedial measures under all circumstances!
As with the maintenance request, an external signal can be sent via the relay output
(function 71). In addition, you can place the analog output on the output current range which
you set with function 77 (measured value memory).
Further messages
Besides the maintenance request and fault messages, other important messages are listed
in the logbook:
