104 Instruments and controls
Malfunction Indicator
Lamp
Z illuminates or flashes yellow.
Illuminates when the ignition is
switched on and goes out shortly after
the engine starts.
Illuminates when the engine is
running
Fault in the fuel, ignition or emission
control system. The permitted emis‐
sion limits may be exceeded. Seek
the assistance of a workshop imme‐
diately.
Flashes when the engine is
running
Fault that could lead to catalytic con‐
verter damage. Ease up on the accel‐
erator until the flashing stops. Seek
the immediate assistance of a work‐
shop.
Brake system
Ror & illuminates red.
This light should come on briefly
when ignition is switched on. If it
doesn't come on, have it fixed so it will
be ready to warn you if there is a prob‐
lem. This light indicates when the
brake or clutch fluid level is too low

Stop. Do not continue your jour‐
ney. Consult a workshop.
Electrical Parking Brake
Light
m illuminates or flashes red.
Flashes twice and then
Illuminates
Electrical parking brake is applied

Flashes continuously
Electrical parking brake is not fully ap‐
plied or released. Depress the foot
brake pedal and attempt to reset the
system by first releasing and then ap‐
plying the electrical parking brake. If
m remains flashing, do not drive and
seek the assistance of a workshop.
Electrical Parking Brake
Fault Light
j illuminates or flashes yellow.
Illuminates
Electric parking brake is operating
with degraded performance 3 159.
Flashes
Electric parking brake is in service
mode. Stop vehicle and apply and re‐
lease the electric parking brake to re‐
set.

Have the cause of the fault reme‐
died immediately by a workshop.
