Problem
Safety relief valve leaking.
Filter motor runs but Filter valve not open.
pumps shortening
Pump clogged.

Filter frame not properly

Filter line connections loose.
Solidified shortening in lines.
Charcoal filter clogged (if
applicable).
Pump switch ON, Defective switch.
motor does not run.
Defective motor.
Motor thermal protector
tripped.
Motor hums but will Clogged lines or pump.
not pump.
Shortening will not Blown fuse or tripped circuit
heat. breaker at supply box or con-
trol panel.
Blown fuse at control panel.
Cause
Check and replace, if necessary, per

Open filter valve.
Remove and clean pump per
Filtering System , page
Handles must put pressure on filter.
Tighten all filter line connections.
Clear all filter lines of solidified
shortening.
Change charcoal filter (if applicable).
