8.5.7. Other wear and tear parts

8.5.7.1 Cleaning the air check valve

Remove the softener and valve covers, see 8.5.2. Covers removal (softener and valve),

B Dismount the brine hose (5).
Using a Phillips screwdriver, loosen air check cap screw (2) (2x).

Let the 2 screws (2) on the cap (4).
D Remove the cap (4).
Clean the air check ball (3), seat, bowl and o-ring groove (1) using a soft cloth or a soft

brush.
F Check for o-ring (1) and ball (3) integrity before remounting.
CAUTION
Do not over-tighten the screws as it may damage the air check bowl.
G Reverse above procedure steps to rebuild.
