CAUTION
Beware of sharp edges when unmounting the flapper spring. Use of protective glove is
highly recommended to remove the spring (3).
Using a flat screwdriver, release the flapper springs (2) one by one and then remove the

spring (3).

Loosen all top plate screws (1).

Remove the top plate (4) from the valve.

Clean or replace the flappers (7) if needed.
NOTE
The outline of the flapper seat can be seen on the flapper side. If the outline is irregular,
this may indicate that debris is or has been preventing the flapper (7) from closing, and
potential damages.

Remount flappers (7).
CAUTION
Flapper 6 is asymmetrical. Failure to insert it properly will cause permanent leakage to
drain.
Once all flappers (7) are back in place, position the top plate (4) and screw it back

following the figure order.
Position the one-piece spring (3) back to its place, locking it on its mounting pin (5) and
I
pads (6).
Using a small flat screw driver, push on each part of the spring (2) to clip it back into the
J
flappers (7) lever.

Remount the motor and camshaft, see 8.5.7.7 Optical sensor replacement, page 77.
Remount the softener and valve covers, see 8.5.2. Covers removal (softener and valve),
