8.5.7.4 Motor and camshaft replacement

Remove the softener and valve covers, see 8.5.2. Covers removal (softener and valve),

Disconnect the motor (4) from the optical sensor (1).
C
Remove the white locking pin (3) securing the motor (4).
D
Turn the motor (4) counter clockwise and slide it out of its position.
E
Slide the camshaft (2) backwards until it is released from its mounting boss, then lift it up.
F
Change motor (4) and/or camshaft (2).
CAUTION
Do not push the flappers down with the camshaft, otherwise damages may occur.
Put the camshaft (2) back in its backplate location leaving the camshaft slightly angled on

the left of the flappers when looking at the valve from the front.
Push on the flappers from left to right with the camshaft (2), rotate it manually until the 2

arrows on the top plate and camshaft (5) are aligned.

Slide the camshaft (2) forwards until it fit completely in its mounting boss.
J
Slide the motor (4) in its position and turn it clockwise.
K
Remount the white locking pin (3) securing the motor (4).
L
Connect the motor (4) to the optical sensor (1).
