Print Quality Problems

Your kiosk is designed to produce consistently high-quality prints. If you observe print quality
problems, use the information in this section to troubleshoot the problem. For details, refer to
support.xerox.com.
Caution:
Use of non-Xerox supplies is not recommended. The Xerox
Agreement, and Total Satisfaction Guarantee do not cover damage, malfunction, or
degradation of performance caused by use of non-Xerox supplies, or the use of Xerox
not specified for this kiosk. The Total Satisfaction Guarantee is available in the United States
and Canada. Coverage can vary outside these areas. Contact your Xerox
details.
Note:
To enhance print quality, the toner/print/drum cartridges for many models of equipment
are designed to cease functioning at a predetermined point.

Various factors can affect the quality of the output of your kiosk. For consistent and optimum print
quality, use paper designed for your kiosk. To maintain optimum print quality from your kiosk, follow
the guidelines in this section.
Temperature and humidity affect the quality of the printed output. For details, refer to
Specifications.

Your kiosk is designed to use various paper and other media types. Follow the guidelines in this
section for the best print quality and to avoid jams.
• Use only Xerox
®
-approved paper. For details, refer to
• Use only dry, undamaged paper.
Caution:
Some paper and other media types can cause poor output quality, increased
paper jams, or damage your kiosk. Do not use the following:
• Rough or porous paper
• Inkjet paper
• Non-laser glossy or coated paper
• Paper that was photocopied
• Paper that is folded or wrinkled
• Paper with cutouts or perforations
• Stapled paper
• Envelopes with windows, metal clasps, side seams, or adhesives with release strips
• Padded envelopes
• Plastic media
• Store your paper and other media properly for optimum print quality. For details, refer to
