Introduction

This chapter introduces how to configure BIOS for ITA-5831 series.With the AMI-

BIOS Setup program, you can modify BIOS settings and control the special features

of your computer. The Setup program uses a number of menus for making changes

and turning the special features on or off. This chapter describes the basic naviga-

tion of the ITA-5831 setup screens.

AMI's BIOS ROM has a built-in Setup program that allows users to modify the basic

system configuration. This type of information is stored in battery-backed up CMOS,

so it retains the Setup information when the power is turned off.

4.2

Turn on the computer to enter POST screen, and BIOS and CPU information will be

shown.

Press <DEL> and you will immediately be allowed to enter Setup.
