Crossbar
The crossbar provides sharing of memory in up to eight SBs and the symmetric multi-
processing (SMP) system that supports 32 CPUs. It also provides the flexible I/O
mechanism, which enables up to eight SBs and up to eight IO_Units to be flexibly
connected.
The crossbar consists of the following three types of boards:
- Back Plane (BP)
- Xbar address interconnect board (XAI)
- Xbar data interconnect board (XDI)

Connectors for SBs, IO_Units, and other devices are mounted on the BP. Only wiring
and connectors are mounted on the BP, and no DDC or control chip is mounted.
