8.1.1

Mounting requirements

When a partition is defined as a combination of SBs and IO_Units, the individual
mounting requirements of these units must be met.
8.1.1.1 Mounting requirements of SBs
When defining a partition, ensure that the following mounting requirements are
fulfilled:
On each SB, at least one effective CPU and four memory modules must be
mounted.
An LSB having memory mapped in the area from 0 GB to 4 GB is called the home
LSB. To configure a partition, at least one home LSB must be included.
On each SB, at least one CPU and one set of memory modules (four modules) must
be mounted.
CPUs on the same SB mounted on the same partition must be of the same type.
CPUs mounted on the same partition must have the same cache capacity per way.
