2. Safety Devices
Charging the engine will automatically shutdown
after 20 seconds.

High temperature

The high-tem per a ture alarm warns you that the
en gine is over heat ing. (See Au to matic Shut-Offs &
Cir cuit Break ers chap ter 5 for more in for ma tion.)

Low oil pressure

The low pres sure alarm warns you that the en gine
oil pres sure is near the lower limit for safe op er a tion
of the en gine. (See Au to matic Shut-Offs & Cir cuit
Break ers chap ter 5 for more in for ma tion.)

Alternator not charging

This alarm warns you that the al ter na tor is not
charg ing the bat tery. (See Au to matic Shut-Offs &
Cir cuit Break ers chap ter 5 for more in for ma tion.)

Drive (reverse)

The DRIVE (re verse) alarm alerts peo ple that the
S3970RT / S3370RT / S2770RT is trav el ing back -
ward along the ground. This alarm beeps twice as
fast as the DRIVE (for ward) alarm.

Drive (for ward)

The DRIVE (for ward) alarm alerts peo ple that the
S3970RT / S3370RT / S2770RT is trav el ing for -
ward along the ground. This alarm beeps half as
fast as the DRIVE (re verse) alarm.
n Load sensing system
As soon as the scissor stack rises from it's stowed
position the overload protection system becomes
active.
If 90% of rated ca pac ity is reached in the
G
plat form the over load light will il lu mi nate.
This is a warn ing to the op er a tor that the plat form
is reach ing rated ca pac ity.
Nor mal func tion will re main and the ma chine can
con tinue to be used
If 100% of rated ca pac ity is reached in the
G
plat form the over load light will con tinue to
be il lu mi nated and an alarm will sound.
This is a warn ing to the op er a tor that rated ca pac -
ity has been reached and the plat form load must be
re duced.
Nor mal func tion will re main to al low the plat form to
be po si tioned to re move some load from the plat -
form.

Note:
The ma chine should not be op er ated
con tin u ously with the over load alarm sound ing.
If 110% of rated ca pac ity is reached in the
G
plat form the over load light will con tinue to
be il lu mi nated and an alarm will con tinue
to sound and all func tions will be dis abled.
The op er a tor must re move load from the plat form.
Nor mal func tion will re sume once the plat form load
has been re duced be low 110% con tin u ously for at
least two (2) sec onds.

Level sensor

The level sen sor alarm warns the S3970RT /
S3370RT / S2770RT op er a tor that the S3970RT /
S3370RT / S2770RT is not level. When you hear
this alarm, im me di ately lower the plat form com -
pletely down. When the plat form is com pletely
down, de ter mine and cor rect the cause of the tilt
be fore rais ing the plat form again.
NOTE
While the alarm is sounding it is not possible to
drive the S3970RT / S3370RT / S2770RT nor
raise the platform
