2. Safety Devices
Note:
When
the
alarm
sounds
Temperature, Low Oil Pressure, or Alternator not
Charging the engine will automatically shutdown
after 20 seconds.
High temperature
■ ❏
The high-temperat�re alarm war�s �o� that the
e�gi�e is overheati�g. (See A�tomatic Sh�t-Offs &
Circ�it Breakers chapter 5 for more i�formatio�.)
Low oil pressure
■ ❏
The low press�re alarm war�s �o� that the e�gi�e
oil press�re is �ear the lower limit for safe operatio�
of the e�gi�e. (See A�tomatic Sh�t-Offs & Circ�it
Breakers chapter 5 for more i�formatio�.)
Alternator not charging
■ ❏
This alarm war�s �o� that the alter�ator is �ot
chargi�g the �atter�. (See A�tomatic Sh�t-Offs &
Circ�it Breakers chapter 5 for more i�formatio�.)

Drive (reverse)

■ ❏
The DRIVE (reverse) alarm alerts people that
the S3970RT/ S3370RT/ S2770RT is traveli�g
�ackwar� alo�g the gro���. This alarm �eeps
twice as fast as the DRIVE (forwar�) alarm.
Drive (forward)
■ ❏
The DRIVE (forwar�) alarm alerts people that
the S3970RT / S3370RT / S2770RT is traveli�g
forwar� alo�g the gro���. This alarm �eeps half as
fast as the DRIVE (reverse) alarm.
■ ■ Load sensing system
As soo� as the scissor stack rises from it's stowe�
positio� the overloa� protectio� s�stem �ecomes
active.
If 90% of rated capacity is reached in the
platform the overload light will illuminate.
This is a warning to the operator that the platform
is reachi�g rate� capacit�.
Normal function will remain and the machine can
continue to be used
If 100% of rated capacity is reached in the
platform the overload light will continue to
be illuminated and an alarm will sound.
This is a warning to the operator that rate� capacit�
has �ee� reache� a�� the platform loa� m�st �e
re��ce�.
Normal f��ctio� will remai� to allow the platform
to �e positio�e� to remove some loa� from the
platform.

The machine should not be operated continuously
for

S3370RT / S2770RT operator that the S3970RT /

hear this alarm, imme�iatel� lower the platform
completel� �ow�. Whe� the platform is completel�
�ow�, �etermi�e a�� correct the ca�se of the tilt
�efore raisi�g the platform agai�.
NOTE
While the alarm is sounding it is not possible to
drive the S3970RT / S3370RT / S2770RT nor raise
the platform
■ ■ Primary Fall Restraint System
The ha��rails, i�cl��i�g mi�-rail a�� toe-�oar�
com�i�e� with the gate, form a Fall Restrai�t
S�stem. The S�stem preve�ts the operator from
