2. Ground/Platform Key Switch: Three
position switch that selects between Ground,
Off, and Platform. The key is removable in
the Off position only and is used to secure
the machine from unauthorised use.
3. Choke: (Option gasoline engines only): Hold
the choke switch down anytime you start a
gasoline engine that is at ambient air
temperature (a cold engine).
3. Glow Plug: (die sel en gines only): This is a
mo men tary con tact switch. Press it down and
hold, for no lon ger than 20 sec onds, then
re lease it just be fore start ing the en gine for
an en gine that is at am bi ent air tem per a ture
(a cold engine).
4. Lift Indicator Light: The platform can be
raised only when this light is lit. When this
light is not lit the platform will not rise
because: the platform is not level, or the
stabilisers are not properly set.
5. Platform Lift/Lower: Holding this switch up
causes the platform to rise. Pushing this
switch down causes the platform to lower.
6. Fuel (Op tion): Be fore start ing set the FUEL
switch to Fuel (up) or Elec tric (down)
de pend ing on your ma chine setup and which
you want to use.
7. Platform Overload Indicator Light: All
movement is prevented when this light is
illuminated. The platform load must be
reduced before the machine will operate.
8. Enable Switch: The en able switch must be
op er ated in con junc tion with the plat form
mov ing func tion you se lect. The pur pose of
this switch is to pre vent the plat form from
mov ing if some thing or some one ac ci den tally
pushes one of the plat form mov ing con trols.
9. Variable Height Lockout Key Switch (not
functional on S2770RT): Three position
switch usd to restrict the maximum elevation
to that of the smaller class machine. The key
is removable in all positions.
On S3970RT the switch can be used to allow
full height or limit the maximum elevation to
33ft or 27ft working height.
On S3370RT the switch can be used to allow
full height or limit the maximum elevation to
27ft working height.
10. Start Switch: Press and hold this switch
DOWN to operate the starter motor of the
S3970RT / S3370RT / S2770RT.

NOTE 1
The EMERGENCY STOP switch on the ground
control box overrides the one on the platform
control box. If the one on the ground control box
is off the S3970RT / S3370RT / S2770RT will not
start or run.
Note 2
When the plat form/ground key se lec tor switch is
set to ground the ENTIRE plat form con trol box is
in op er a tive including the Emergency Stop.
