User's Manual—SNAP™ 700 Printer
Problem
Print density is too light
or too dark.
Problem
Voids in print image in
the feed direction.

Probable Cause
1) Stock and Ink Transfer Type
selection

Design
doesn't match supplies.
2) Incorrect contrast setting in
the machine setup.

Misadjusted
print
pressure.
Probable Cause
1) Ink is misaligned with the
stock.
2) Print head is dirty.
3) Faulty print head.
4)
Misadjusted
print
pressure.
5) Worn printer roller.
IF THE RECOMMENDED CORRECTIVE ACTIONS DO NOT
RESOLVE THE PROBLEM (S), CONTACT YOUR LOCAL
AVERY DENNISON REPRESENTATIVE.
Corrective Action
1) Refer to the PCMate Platinum software
File
manual.
1) Adjust the contrast control on each print
head.
Refer to section 4.1 Print Head
Adjustments.

1) Set print head pressure. Refer to section
4.1 Print Head Adjustments.
Corrective Action
2) Ink must be 1/4" or 5 mm wider than the
stock. Example: 1"(25 mm) web requires
1 ¼" (30 mm) ink.
1) Power off the machine. Clean the print
head and print. Refer to section 5.1, Print
Head Cleaning and Handling.
1) After cleaning the print head and running a
test label, if a void still exists, replace the
print head.

4.1.1, Adjusting Print Head Pressure.

representative.
