200iS from overvoltage.
Complete protection from overvoltage is only guaranteed when the entire system is
designed to protect from overvoltage. This relates particularly to building structures
included in the planning of the building.
We therefore recommend that you contact your Siemens representative or a
company specialized in lightning protection if you require more detailed information
about overvoltage.

The Lightning Protection Zone Concept
Principal of the Lightning Protection Zone Concept complying with IEC 61312-
1/DIN VDE 0185 T103
The principle of a lightning protection zone requires that facilities to be protected
from overvoltages, for example a control room, should be divided into lightning
protection zones based on EMC considerations (see figure below).
The individual lightning protection zones are formed as follows:
