Base
Base Unit Switch
The Base Unit switch is the single-pole/double-throw slide switch located on the rear side of the unit
near the stacking connectors. A Base Unit Switch identifies the base unit of a system stack.
PoE+
The ERS3550T-PWR+model support PoE+ on all ports. PoE+ ports are compatible to IEEE802.3at
standard.
Stacking Ports
ERS3500 series models contain up/down stack ports located at the rear side of the unit as SFP
Ethernet ports. The stack ports can be used in Standalone Mode or Stacking Mode. Stack cables
are available in 46 cm, 1.5 m, and 3 m length and must be ordered separately. See
fundamentals
on page 24 for more information.
Note:
Stacking is not available for ERS 3510GT or ERS 3510GT-PWR+ switches. Stacking is only
supported with switches operating with Release 5.1 or later software.

Configuring VLANs for voice and data

The scope of this activity will be to configure VLANs for voice and data on the Avaya 3526T-PWR
switch.
Before you begin
Connect the PC or laptop to the switch using the DB-9 male to RJ-45 serial cable.
Power the switch on.
Access CLI using ProComm or other terminal emulation software.
Ensure that the switch is set to factory default settings
